Jewish Life in Small-Town America

Lee Shai Weissbach, Professor of History, University of Louisville

Professor Weissbach's slide-illustrated lecture will explore the history of Jewish life in small-town America in the 19th and early 20th centuries, describing how smaller Jewish communities developed and considering some of the characteristics that made them different from Jewish communities in larger urban centers.
