Anke Pinkert, Associate Professor of Germanic Languages and Literatures, will offer a workshop entitled "Public Memory Underground: Photographs of the 1953 Worker’s Uprising in East Germany.” Anke is one of the founding members of the HGMS initiative and always produces innovative work deeply informed by memory studies. She is the author of Film and Memory in East Germany and many other works. This seminar series is geared towards faculty and graduate students.
